The Confident Leader
Target Audience:
Managers who are new to leadership or need a refresher in effective management. The course focuses on the fundamentals of effective and authentic leadership. Practical tools and resources are provided based on real world leaders, academic research and 20+ years of experience.
Course Objective:
Build confidence and practical tools and skills in developing and unleashing authentic and natural leadership in individuals.
One of the keys to success in business and in our personal lives is great, competent and consistent leadership. Leadership comes in many forms and there is no one size fits all template that works for everyone.
This course is designed for individuals who aspire to effectively lead teams and focuses on key skills that a leader will have to develop as they move from an individual contributor into leadership positions. People management is a key focus for this seminar.
This lecture starts with defining leadership and provides examples of prominent leaders in business, sports and world leaders and their successes and failures. The session dives into the fundamental best practices of leadership including the leader’s vision, goal setting approach, accountability practices and rules of engagements.
The session also describes different types of leadership (Autocratic, democratic and free reign) and when each of these leadership styles may be appropriate. The module discusses the balance between technical skills and soft/people skills as an individual’s career evolves
